During a recent press briefing, their lawyer provided updates on the ongoing trial, revealing that the prosecution is in the process of presenting its witnesses. So far, seven out of the twenty witnesses expected to testify against Sipapa have completed their testimonies, leaving thirteen more to be heard. The lawyer expressed optimism about the proceedings, stating, “Based on the seven witnesses who have given their sides of the story, we are confident that there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

However, complications surrounding their bail application remain a significant hurdle. The couple’s legal team has acknowledged that while they have considered applying for bail, challenges persist that have prevented them from moving forward with that plan. “Although we thought of it, we have not yet got our minds straight since there are some complications,” the lawyer explained.
As the case unfolds, Sipapa and Shamira’s future remains uncertain, with many awaiting the next hearing to see how the situation develops.
