During a recent press conference held at the NUP headquarters, where he also paid tribute to comrades lost in the 2020 Kampala riots, Alimpa expressed his disappointment at the silence of those who should support him. “If I were to lose my life suddenly, I hope my fans and Ugandans would act with force against those identified as responsible,” he warned, emphasizing the gravity of his situation.
Alimpa highlighted that those threatening him lack similar ambitions and aspirations, which fuels his desire to protect his life and career. He specifically pointed out that Bobi Wine is the only individual in Uganda with comparable ambitions, reinforcing the idea that competition within the industry can lead to hostility.
In addition to the threats against his life, Alimpa revealed that he is also dealing with an impersonator who is using his name to scam people in Makindye. This impersonator has reportedly defrauded numerous individuals, creating significant problems for Alimpa as he receives angry calls from victims unaware of the deception. Despite these challenges, Alimpa remains determined to address the impersonation issue while assuring his fans that he is not involved in any illicit activities.
