On November 19, 2024, Tumwesigye was rushed to Nsambya Hospital after suffering severe injuries from being crushed by a truck. Tragically, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. In response to his death, Alien Skin and a group reportedly confronted hospital staff, demanding access to Tumwesigye’s body and details regarding the autopsy.
According to police reports, the confrontation escalated into violence, resulting in injuries to Dr. Zaidi Matovu and two security guards. Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke stated, “We have apprehended Patrick Mulwana on allegations of assaulting medical staff.”
The incident has drawn significant attention on social media, where videos of the altercation circulated widely. Many Ugandans are expressing outrage over the attack on healthcare workers and calling for stricter measures against violence in healthcare settings.
