The rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police is significant within the Uganda Police Force’s hierarchy, being the third-highest rank. Officers serving as directors are typically expected to hold this rank, although some may serve in acting capacities until formal promotions are granted.

As these officers prepare for their new roles, expectations are high regarding their contributions to enhancing security and public safety in Uganda.
