Kampala, Uganda – The National Unity Platform (NUP) is grappling with a significant challenge as around 10,000 Kadamas have reportedly been denied entry into Dubai since August 2024. This development poses a serious concern for the party’s operations and its supporters who were looking forward to engaging in business ventures abroad.
The travel restrictions have been attributed to various bureaucratic hurdles and immigration policies that have affected many potential travelers within the group. Many Kadamas had intended to use this opportunity to expand their networks and promote economic initiatives aligned with NUP’s objectives.

Party officials are calling for urgent action to address these barriers, expressing frustration over how such limitations can adversely affect their members’ ambitions. “This situation is not just about travel; it impacts our ability to grow economically and politically,” stated a senior NUP official.
In light of these challenges, NUP leaders are urging solidarity among their supporters as they seek solutions that will enable easier access for Kadamas in the future. The party remains focused on empowering its members and ensuring they have the necessary resources to thrive.
