Kampala, Uganda – In a recent appearance on the Millennials For Christ Ministries podcast, singer Liam Voice has urged churches to extend their support beyond prayers and fasting, advocating for direct financial assistance to struggling members of their congregations. His comments come amid growing concerns about the financial hardships faced by many individuals within the church community.
Liam Voice questioned the rationale behind churchgoers contributing financially to their places of worship while receiving little to no support in times of need. “Why do people bring money to church, for example? Someone might stay at home without eating anything, holding onto their last Shs10k, and still offer it to the church. But when that same person is in need, the church doesn’t help financially,” he stated.

The singer expressed his frustration with churches that only respond to financial struggles with prayers. He highlighted a scenario where a church could collect around Shs10 million in a single service, yet there may be several congregants without jobs who contributed to that amount. “Can’t the church just get like Shs5 million and distribute accordingly?” he challenged.
Liam Voice’s remarks resonate with many who feel that churches have a responsibility to support their members during difficult times. His call for action emphasizes the need for churches to reassess their roles in providing tangible assistance to those in need within their communities.
