President Museveni Pledges Road Upgrades and Health Improvements for Isingiro.

Isingiro, Uganda – In a significant address during a thanksgiving ceremony for Hon. Bright Rwamirama, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni pledged that the Ntantamuki-Isingiro-Rakai road will soon be upgraded to tarmac. This announcement comes as part of efforts to improve agricultural productivity by facilitating better transportation options for local farmers.

President Museveni acknowledged that many farmers have struggled due to the poor condition of the 109-kilometer road, which has hindered their ability to transport goods efficiently. “We are going to grade it and most importantly, we will tarmac it,” he assured attendees at St. Paul Masha Church of Uganda.

Moreover, addressing health issues in Isingiro was also a priority during his speech. The President committed to working with health officials to establish a district hospital, which would serve over 800,000 residents, including refugees living in the area. This initiative aims to improve healthcare access and address pressing health challenges faced by the community.

The event highlighted not only infrastructure development but also community unity and support for government initiatives aimed at enhancing living standards in Isingiro District. As preparations move forward, residents remain hopeful about these commitments leading to tangible improvements in their daily lives.
