Kampala, Uganda – Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the Senior Presidential Advisor and Head of the Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC), has called on Ugandans, particularly the youth, to rally behind President Yoweri Museveni’s vision as the nation prepares for the upcoming 2026 general elections. In her New Year message delivered from the ONC Headquarters in Kyambogo, Namyalo emphasized the importance of adopting responsible lifestyles and safeguarding personal health.
Namyalo highlighted President Museveni’s advice on preventing sexually transmitted diseases, urging citizens to either abstain or use protection. “Keep yourself safe from contracting sexually transmitted diseases,” she advised, reiterating the government’s commitment to public health.

As Uganda approaches a pivotal election year, Namyalo encouraged voters to make informed choices at the ballot box. She expressed confidence in President Museveni’s candidacy, stating, “It is obvious for us that President Yoweri Museveni will be on the ballot, and his win is a foregone conclusion.” The NRM party is set to hold primary elections to select candidates for the general polls.
In her message, Namyalo also reaffirmed the government’s dedication to poverty alleviation through initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM) and ongoing community empowerment efforts. She concluded with warm wishes for a prosperous 2025, emphasizing the ONC’s commitment to advancing President Museveni’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous Uganda.
