Kampala, Uganda – Prominent musician King Saha has raised concerns about the increasing violence within the Ugandan music industry, predicting that artists may soon feel compelled to perform on stage with weapons for protection. This alarming statement comes in light of recent incidents involving artists being attacked during performances, notably citing the actions of Alien Skin as a catalyst for this troubling trend.

During a recent interview, King Saha expressed his frustration with the current state of security at concerts, stating, “We are about to see shows where artists will be performing with weapons live. If you come to the stage when I am performing and you’re not part of my team, I will send you off with a panga that I will be holding.” His comments reflect a growing sentiment among artists who feel vulnerable and unprotected while on stage.
Saha emphasized that the lack of effective security measures by police and event organizers has contributed to this escalating violence. He referenced previous incidents where artists like Lydia Jazmine had their performances interrupted by aggressive individuals, underscoring the urgent need for improved safety protocols at music events.
As tensions rise within the industry, King Saha’s remarks serve as a stark reminder of the challenges artists face in creating a safe environment for their performances.
