Legendary musician Jose Chameleone, currently undergoing treatment in the United States for acute pancreatitis, is reportedly seeking additional financial assistance. According to recent reports, Chameleone has written to President Yoweri Museveni requesting UGX 750 million to cover ongoing medical expenses. This development comes after his initial travel to the U.S. was facilitated by socialite Juliet Zawedde and supported by the Ugandan government.

Chameleone’s health challenges have been well-documented, with his son Abba Marcus revealing that the singer’s condition is linked to excessive alcohol consumption. Despite receiving specialized care in the U.S., the costs associated with his treatment remain high, prompting Chameleone to seek further assistance.
