The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV, has expressed deep appreciation for MTN Uganda’s unwavering support of the kingdom’s socio-cultural engagement and development initiatives. These initiatives aim to enhance the lives of Busoga’s subjects, with particular focus on improving health, education, and sports in the region.
At a recent event held on January 18, 2025, at the Sailing Club in Jinja City, the Kyabazinga’s second deputy Prime Minister, Owek. Alhaj Osman Ahmed Noor, delivered a heartfelt message on behalf of His Majesty, praising MTN Uganda for their continued contributions to the kingdom’s growth.
“I would like to thank MTN Uganda for its tireless efforts. The company’s contributions in the kingdom are invaluable, and I am confident that together, we can achieve great things—let us continue to work together to build a prosperous and vibrant kingdom for all,” the Kyabazinga stated through Owek. Alhaj Osman.
The event was a get-together for staff from World Planet Communications (WPS), MTN’s distributor in the Busoga region, and was attended by key figures such as Prof. Wasswa Balunywa, a board member of MTN Momo, and Richard Yego, CEO of MTN Momo Uganda.
The Kyabazinga also praised MTN Uganda for their proactive involvement in the kingdom’s development, reinforcing the collaborative spirit between the private sector and the local leadership. His Majesty’s words reflect a shared vision for a flourishing Busoga Kingdom, where both the kingdom and corporate partners work hand in hand for the betterment of its people.
