Deputy Speaker Tayebwa Launches 94.0 Tayari FM to Promote Community Development.

Kampala, Uganda – In a significant move aimed at enhancing community engagement, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has launched 94.0 Tayari FM, a radio station dedicated to driving community development in Western Uganda. The official launch took place on February 1, 2025, and was presided over by Godfrey Kabbyanga, the State Minister for National Guidance.

During the launch event, Tayebwa emphasized the importance of the radio station in educating and empowering local communities. “We established this radio station through the ‘Taru Foundation,’ investing in top-quality equipment to ensure it becomes one of the best stations in the region,” he stated. The station aims to provide a platform for local district officials to raise awareness about government programs in key sectors such as education, agriculture, and health.

The establishment of Tayari FM is seen as a strategic initiative to foster communication and development within the Ruhinda North Constituency, where Tayebwa serves as the Member of Parliament.
