Kampala, Uganda – On this day, February 1, 2025, we solemnly remember Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo, affectionately known as Mowzey Radio, who tragically passed away in 2018. It has been seven years since the world lost one of Uganda’s most gifted musicians, yet his voice, lyrics, and spirit continue to resonate with millions.

Born on January 25, 1985, in Busoga, Uganda, Mowzey Radio’s passion for music was evident from an early age. After completing his studies at Makerere University, he dedicated himself to music full-time and formed the iconic duo Radio and Weasel with Douglas Mayanja. Their unique blend of Afrobeat, reggae, and dancehall captured the hearts of many across the continent.
Mowzey Radio’s impressive catalog of hits includes songs like “Nakudata,” “Bread and Butter,” and “Neera,” which remain anthems in Uganda today. His ability to craft meaningful lyrics made him a beloved figure in the music industry.
