Kampala, Uganda – Ugandan singer and songwriter Fyno, whose real name is Suuna Joseph, has made a pivotal decision to focus on his own music career after years of dedicating his talents to writing songs for other artists. In a candid interview, Fyno revealed that his commitment to songwriting for others had hindered his personal growth within the industry. “For a long time, I was giving more time to others than myself. I would write many songs but only release one as my own,” he explained.

Fyno pointed out the harsh reality of the Ugandan music industry, stating that songwriting is not as profitable as many might believe. He noted that most deals are often one-off transactions with little to no royalties, making it difficult for songwriters to achieve long-term sustainability. Realizing that he was not making the progress he desired, Fyno decided to take control of his career and redirect his focus towards creating and promoting his own music.
His renewed dedication is already bearing fruit, as his latest song is currently trending on TikTok, and he is in the process of shooting a music video to enhance its exposure. With plans for more releases on the horizon, Fyno is determined to keep the momentum going and deliver consistent content for his fans.
