Kampala, Uganda – In a heartfelt interview, Zari Hassan has acknowledged the pivotal role her late ex-husband, Ivan Semwanga, played in her rise to success. The prominent socialite and entrepreneur expressed gratitude for their collaborative efforts that led to the development of various business ventures, including educational institutions in South Africa.
Zari described Ivan as a tremendous support system who provided the financial backing necessary for their ambitions. “Our partnership was driven by our desire for success,” she stated. While Zari focused on generating ideas and visions for their businesses, Ivan’s wealth enabled those ideas to come to fruition.
Their relationship spanned over a decade before ending in 2013, yet Zari remained committed to him even during his illness. She took care of him during his hospitalization prior to his passing on May 25, 2017. Reflecting on their journey together, Zari emphasized that their combined efforts were instrumental in building an empire that continues to thrive today.
