Eddy Kenzo Cites High Performance Fee for Absence from NUP Events.

Kampala, Uganda – Renowned Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo, whose real name is Edrisah Musuuza, has revealed that his absence from events organized by the National Unity Platform (NUP) is likely due to his high performance fee. In an interview with NBS Television, Kenzo expressed openness to performing at any political event, including those hosted by NUP, provided they can meet his financial requirements.

Kenzo emphasized that he hasn’t been featured at NUP events because they may not be able to afford his services. “I can perform anywhere. I haven’t been there because maybe they can’t afford to pay for my services,” he explained. As the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, Kenzo advised fellow artists not to shy away from accepting payment for performances at political rallies if booked.

This stance reflects a pragmatic approach towards managing one’s career in a competitive industry where financial compensation plays a crucial role in sustaining artistic endeavors.
