Renowned media personality Vianna Indi has called upon Ugandan music icon Eddy Kenzo to extend his influence and support to rising star Joshua Baraka, believing that Kenzo’s global reach and industry connections could significantly boost Baraka’s international career.
Kenzo, born Edirisa Musuuza, is Uganda’s most decorated artist, having won a BET Award, received a Grammy nomination, and secured multiple international and local recognitions. His global success has established him as a powerhouse in African music, making him one of the few Ugandan artists with a strong international presence.
Vianna Indi emphasized that as the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), Kenzo is in a unique position to uplift the country’s young talents, including Joshua Baraka, whose music has been making waves both locally and internationally.
“If Eddy Kenzo has the right connections, he can help Joshua Baraka take his career to another level and win some awards, while also elevating Uganda’s music industry,” Indi stated.
Joshua Baraka is currently one of Uganda’s fastest-rising stars, with his hit songs “Nana” and “Dalilah” gaining international recognition. Many believe that with the right push, he could become Uganda’s next major export in the music industry.
