Khalifah AgaNaga Faces Tough Questions on Kawempe-North Parishes During Live Interview.

Singer-turned-politician Sadat Mukiibi, popularly known as Khalifah AgaNaga, recently found himself in an embarrassing situation during a live television interview. AgaNaga, who is the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag bearer for the Kawempe-North MP seat By-election, struggled to name even a single parish in the constituency he seeks to represent.

During the broadcast, the interview panel challenged him to list at least five parishes in Kawempe-North, a fundamental question for anyone vying for a leadership position. However, the singer-turned-politician hesitated, stumbled over his words, and eventually failed to mention even one parish.

Realizing the awkwardness of the situation, AgaNaga pretended to lose network connectivity and abruptly ended the live session. When he returned after a commercial break, he dismissed the question, instead urging the panel to focus on what he plans to do for the people of Kawempe-North. He maintained that his priority is improving the livelihoods of residents rather than memorizing administrative boundaries.

Despite his justification, the incident has raised concerns among voters, with critics questioning his preparedness and knowledge of the area. Some argue that knowing the parishes is basic knowledge for any serious candidate, while his supporters insist that his vision for development should take precedence over such details.

The Kawempe-North By-election is scheduled for March 13, 2025, and AgaNaga faces stiff competition from other candidates. Whether this moment of embarrassment will impact his chances at the polls remains to be seen.
