Ugandan singer Irene Ntale has opened up about her relationship with her husband, Vincent Kalibbala, revealing that they first crossed paths in 2016. Ntale explained that, while they initially met that year, she chose to keep their relationship private as they nurtured it over time, allowing it to grow in a more personal space.
In an interview, Ntale described Kalibbala as an “awesome person,” reflecting on how they began as friends. At the time of their meeting, Ntale admitted that she had no idea she had met the man who would eventually become her husband. “I kept my relationship private as I built it silently. He’s an awesome person, and I think we met in 2016, but we were friends first,” she shared, showing that their relationship developed gradually.
Ntale also revealed that she used to pray for a life partner, not realizing that Kalibbala had been by her side all along. She expressed her surprise at how everything fell into place, with one thing leading to another. Despite societal pressures and expectations surrounding marriage, Ntale emphasized that she never felt any rush or pressure from her family, including her mother. “I didn’t feel the pressure, and my mother has never pressured me to get into marriage,” she said.
Reflecting on her journey, Ntale expressed gratitude for having found the right person at the right time, with Kalibbala being her greatest supporter. “He’s my biggest supporter, and every song I record, I first sing for him,” she added.
