In the face of mounting criticism over her fashion choices, Gloria Bugie has stood her ground, asserting that she will continue to dress how she pleases without fear of public judgment. Known for her bold and often controversial style, Gloria has become a prominent figure in Uganda’s music and fashion scenes, unapologetically expressing herself through her wardrobe.

Recently, Gloria, along with fellow artist Shakira Shakiraa and dancer Ritah Dancehall, was targeted by the Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC) for their choice of attire, which they labeled indecent. While many would have been deterred by such criticism, Gloria has made it clear that it will not influence her personal style.
In an interview, Gloria stated, “I will dress how I want. Fashion is personal, and I believe in expressing myself freely.” She further explained that the hot climate in Uganda also plays a significant role in her fashion choices, as she prefers comfort and practicality when selecting her outfits.
Her statement serves as a reminder that fashion should be a form of individual expression and that public figures like Gloria Bugie should not be bound by the expectations or judgments of others when it comes to their personal style.
