Kamoga Property Consultants CEO Takes Legal Action Against Suuna Ben Over Defamation Claims.

Kampala, Uganda – Hajji Kamoga Muhamadi, the CEO of Kamoga Property Consultants, has initiated legal proceedings against local DJ Suuna Ben, accusing him of defamation. The lawsuit stems from allegations made by Suuna Ben against Kamoga, claiming that the businessman had colluded with his estranged girlfriend, Mary Nambwayo, to seize his property.

The allegations, which have been circulating since July 2023, have caused significant damage to Kamoga’s reputation and his business operations. According to the legal documents filed by Kamoga, the defamatory claims were made in various locations, including Makutano in Nansana, Kampala, Mbarara, and Masaka. These statements have allegedly harmed Kamoga’s standing in the real estate market and tarnished his public image.

In the lawsuit, Kamoga demands compensation of 900 million Ugandan shillings for damages, and an additional 10 million shillings to cover his legal fees. He has set a deadline of five days for Suuna Ben to settle the payment. Failure to comply, Kamoga asserts, will result in both civil and criminal legal action being taken at the DJ’s expense. Furthermore, Kamoga has made it clear that any individuals or associates involved in these defamatory claims will also face legal consequences.

Kamoga is demanding a retraction of the statements made by Suuna Ben and a formal public apology within 24 hours. He has expressed that the legal action is necessary to protect his name, his business, and his family from the harm caused by the false and slanderous claims.

This case has garnered significant attention, especially within Uganda’s entertainment and real estate sectors, as it highlights the potential consequences of defamatory speech in the public domain.
