Ugandan musician Biswanka has strongly criticized the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), claiming that it has failed to deliver any tangible benefits to the music industry. According to the outspoken singer, the federation under Eddy Kenzo’s leadership is ineffective and should be abolished.

During a recent television interview, Biswanka did not mince words as he expressed his frustration with the federation. “They are doing nothing apart from jamming. I would abolish the artists’ federation if I were to take charge of the art industry. I know they can’t achieve copyright as they claim because that’s not their focus,” he stated.
Biswanka believes that the UNMF is misusing taxpayer money while failing to push for critical reforms, such as amending the copyright law. He further revealed that he has never visited the UNMF offices in Mutundwe, as he does not believe in the organization’s work.
The singer’s remarks have sparked debate in the music industry, with some artists defending the federation’s initiatives while others echoing Biswanka’s sentiments about its inefficiency.
