Kampala politician and Makindye West Member of Parliament Allan Sewanyana has dismissed rumors of a strained relationship between him and National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Sewanyana stated that he and Bobi Wine share a strong and cordial relationship, contrary to speculation in the media.

"I enjoy a good relationship with President Robert Kyagulanyi. Whatever you hear is not true because I personally speak with him, and it is between him and me who understand our relationship; it is very good," Sewanyana clarified.
The legislator also used the platform to announce his bid for re-election in the 2026 general elections, expressing confidence in his support base.
"I will be contesting again in the upcoming elections in 2026. I have the support and have represented my people well," he affirmed.
Sewanyana has been a key political figure in Kampala, actively engaging in advocacy for his constituents. With his re-election bid, he is expected to face stiff competition, but he remains optimistic about securing victory.
