King Saha Speaks Out on Ibanda Performance Chaos: “It Was a Case of Misunderstanding”

King Saha, born Manisul Ssemanda, has publicly addressed the chaotic scenes that unfolded during his recent performance in Ibanda, Western Uganda. The singer, who was performing at the Kanuzire Lounge, was seen in viral videos engaged in a physical altercation with a fan, sparking widespread debate and speculation on social media.

However, King Saha, who is known for his strong political stance and revolutionary music, refuted claims that the chaos was linked to the politically charged content of his music.

Speaking about the incident, King Saha explained that the altercation occurred late into the night, around 2:00 AM, after a seemingly drunk fan began causing trouble in the crowd.

“The situation started when I noticed one of the revelers was drunk and instigating chaos. I had no choice but to intervene to restore order. It’s unfortunate that it escalated to a physical confrontation, but it was necessary to stop the situation from getting worse,” King Saha shared in an exclusive interview.

The “Ekimala” hitmaker further clarified that the altercation had nothing to do with his political songs, including his 100 songs of revolution, which have been the subject of public attention. According to Saha, his political music has always been well-received by his audience, and this specific event was not about his message, but rather an isolated issue with one fan.

He also took a swipe at those spreading rumors, particularly Eddy Kenzo’s supporters, who he claims are using the incident for propaganda purposes.

Despite the controversy, King Saha maintains that the night was still a success, with his fans enjoying his musical performance and high-energy hits.
