Kampala, Uganda – Shafiq Dangote, known in the music industry as Fik Gaza, has strongly denied allegations of his involvement in robbery-related crimes following his arrest earlier this week. The singer, who is currently in police custody at Kibuye Police Station, took to Instagram to challenge the charges leveled against him, calling them a “setup” designed to sabotage his career and reputation.
The charges stem from an ongoing police operation targeting suspected criminals in the Katwe Division, where Fik Gaza and three others were apprehended. During the operation, authorities seized several exhibits, including pangas (machetes), military attire, and suspected narcotics. The police have confirmed that they have sanctioned files against all suspects, and investigations are ongoing.

However, Fik Gaza has categorically denied the allegations, claiming that he had prior knowledge of a plot to frame him with false charges. “I’m calling out the liars and the haters. I know who you are, and I know what you’re trying to do,” he wrote in a defiant Instagram post. The singer further called on his fans to rally behind him, urging them to share his post and help spread the truth.
“I need your support now more than ever. Share this post, spread the word, and let’s get the truth out!” Fik Gaza wrote, accompanied by the hashtags #JusticeForMe, #SetupAlert, #FalseCharges, and #TruthWillPrevail. His supporters have quickly rallied behind the singer, expressing their belief in his innocence and calling for a fair investigation.
Despite the seriousness of the charges, Fik Gaza remains adamant that the situation is part of a larger scheme to tarnish his public image. The outcome of the investigation could have far-reaching implications for the artist, both personally and professionally, as he fights to clear his name.
