Ugandan singer Omega 256, real name Shamim Murerwa, has officially announced that her much-anticipated concert will now take place on September 19, 2025.
Speaking during a press conference at H2O Lounge, Kololo on Monday afternoon, Omega—accompanied by a host of fellow Western Uganda-based artists—confirmed that the show, initially scheduled for May 2, 2025, was postponed due to a fallout with Nobat Events, the initial events organizer.

Omega explained that the decision to postpone was not taken lightly. “It took team effort, meetings, and careful planning to conclude on the new date. We want the very best for the fans,” she stated.
Importantly, Omega clarified that the venue remains unchanged. She invited fans from across the country to converge at Lugogo Cricket Oval and witness history in the making.
To ensure success, Omega announced that her management team, Diagram Evolution, has now taken over the full organization of the concert. “Me and my management decided to organize this show ourselves. We tried so much to have my show on the 2nd of May, but unfortunately, we failed because of the time limit and other things,” she noted.
Omega 256 concluded emotionally, “My heart is so sad, and I’m so sorry to disappoint y’all. But come September 19th, we’ll make it unforgettable at #OmegaLiveInConcert.”
