London, UK – Victoria University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lawrence Muganga, is currently in London, leading a high-profile delegation at the UK-Uganda Trade and Business Forum, being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. The forum, a major event in the UK-Uganda business calendar, brings together top business leaders, investors, and policymakers from both countries to discuss and explore new avenues for trade, investment, and educational collaboration.

Prof. Muganga, in a statement shared via Victoria University’s official X (formerly Twitter) platform, underscored the institution’s commitment to global engagement and innovation in higher education. “Our presence here is a bold statement of intent,” he said, highlighting Victoria University’s focus on building robust connections with parents, education partners, investors, and communities across the UK and Europe.

The UK-Uganda Trade and Business Forum coincides with the recent launch of Uganda Airlines’ direct flights from Entebbe to London Gatwick, a development expected to further strengthen trade, investment, and educational ties between the two nations. Victoria University’s participation aligns with its strategic goals of expanding international linkages, fostering diaspora engagement, and promoting technologically driven, outcome-oriented education.

As the forum continues, Prof. Muganga and his team are actively seeking partnerships that will benefit students, faculty, and the broader Ugandan academic community, reinforcing Victoria University’s reputation as a leader in innovative and globally connected higher education.
