The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has officially ordered the immediate suspension of the “Omusunsuzi” programme aired on Salt TV, following ongoing monitoring and multiple complaints from the public. According to the UCC, its findings revealed consistent abusive content, inappropriate language, and unprofessional conduct by the presenters during broadcasts, particularly on weekdays from 6:00 am to 8:00 am.
These broadcasts were highlighted as especially concerning, as they often reach children during morning hours, thus exposing them to unsuitable material. UCC’s directive compels Salt TV to halt the program, respond in writing to complaints, submit broadcast recordings from August 1 to September 12, 2025, and provide the program’s script for review
