Comedian and aspiring politician Reign Omusoyisoyi, one half of the popular ‘Maulana and Reign’ comedy duo, has responded to rumors circulating about a secret relationship with Kampala Woman MP Shamim Malende. The rumors gained traction after photos surfaced of Reign and Shamim together during the National Unity Platform (NUP) vetting process for the Rubaga South flag bearer post.
During his vetting at NUP headquarters in Kavule, Reign appeared visibly reserved when asked about the rumors. He confirmed that he knows Shamim Malende in her capacity as an MP but declined to elaborate further, emphasizing his focus on the vetting process. Reign assured the media that he would address the rumors more comprehensively after completing his political vetting responsibilities.
