President Yoweri Museveni is set to officially launch the National Resistance Movement’s (NRM) manifesto for the 2026–2031 electoral period this Monday at the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo. The event marks the formal start of Museveni’s campaign for a seventh term in office, underscoring his intent to continue ruling Uganda.
The manifesto, themed “Protecting the Gains,” is expected to emphasize Uganda’s economic progress and governance priorities, including industrialization, job creation, modern agricultural practices, and national stability. Infrastructure development, oil and gas sector expansion, digital transformation, and regional trade strengthening are key pillars. The launch will feature addresses from NRM leaders and the President himself, accompanied by entertainment and prayers.
