Kampala, Uganda — Voting at Victoria University has officially concluded, with Mugarura Isaiah Ndebwoha emerging as the 9th Guild President-elect after securing a decisive victory in the student leadership elections.
According to official election results, Ndebwoha garnered 2,980 votes out of a total of 5,866 votes tallied, translating to 50.8 percent of the overall vote. He contested under what he described as the VIBE Agenda, which formed the basis of his campaign platform during the electoral process.

His closest challenger, Mujungu Marvin Kahuma, secured 2,298 votes, accounting for 39.3 percent of the total votes cast. Meanwhile, Luweru Ben Kazigo finished third with 588 votes, representing 10.0 percent of the total vote count.
The election outcome confirms Ndebwoha’s majority win, surpassing the 50 percent threshold required for a clear mandate. As Guild President-elect, he is expected to assume leadership of the university’s student guild government, representing student interests in institutional governance structures.
