UCAA public notice about Entebbe International Airport

The management of the UCCA has issued a public notice on the trending videos about the Entebbe International Airport not condoning such acts and where events ave occured.

The government Agency has assured te public that reported cases with specific details have been thoroughly investigated and where staff of various agencies at the airport were found calpable, serious disciplinary actions were taken.Termination of contracts and withdrawal of airport access was taken from them.

The Agency however states that one of the regurgitated trending videos specificifically states a particular check point, day, time and flight details of when the alleged extortion may have taken place which would help the invstigations.

“We are is contacting the parties in tik-tok videos to share with us information that can guide us to take quick action,” the notice reads.”

“The airport has got cameras placed in strategic locations for security reasons to enable UCAA address such issues when they occur.”

The Authority has also urged travelling public not to be compelled or lured into paying money to any staff they interfere with in the course of travel through Entebbe International Airport.

The public is also reminded that inapproriate financiancial dealings with any person at the airport such as exchange of money for favours is illegal and criminal.
