UNEB release the UCE Examination Results for 2022.

Minister and First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni has officially released the UCE examination results for 2022 today afternoon at Nakasero.

The 2022 overall performance was slightly better than that of 2020.

“The candidature that had declined in 2020 has now picked up and surpassed the previous numbers by a more significant proportion of 4.8%.” Janet said.

“This year, the overall perfomance in the compulsory science subjects is not satisfactory, altough there is some improvement.” she added

345,695 Candidates that is 173,761 males and 171,934 females sat for the examination compared to 330 592 who appeared for the examination in 2020.

According to the Executive Director UNEB, Dan Odongo, problems have remained the same in sciences as in recent years where candidates showed weakness in the handling of apparatus during te practical tests.

At Luzira Prison for the inmates, the centre registered 51 candidates, 8 passed in Division 2, 16 got Division 3, 26 passed in Division 4 and one failed.

Odongo said that Female candidates perfomed better than males in English language but in chemistry, the male show better perfomance in the higher grades.
