Alfa Tymz, real name Alpha Kato Jingo Hussein, has officially been unveiled as the new host of the popular NBS KURT entertainment show, following the departure of long-time presenter Tuff B. The announcement comes just a week after Alfa Tymz confirmed his exit from Galaxy FM and Galaxy TV and his move to Next Media Services in Naguru.
Tuff B, who had become a household name on NBS KURT, left the show to pursue a political career and is set to contest for the Member of Parliament seat for Makindye East in the upcoming general elections. Alfa Tymz, who began his broadcasting career in Jinja before rising to prominence at Galaxy FM/TV, will now take the reins of the Saturday afternoon show, airing live from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
Alfa made the announcement via his X (formerly Twitter) account, promising fans an “unmatched, bigger and bolder” entertainment experience. His appointment has been warmly received by Next Media, with colleagues and fans expressing excitement for the new chapter.
