Leading opposition figure Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has publicly declared a determined and discreet plan to unseat President Yoweri Museveni in the upcoming 2026 presidential elections. Speaking at a recent political rally and in interviews, Bobi Wine emphasized that the opposition movement has been building strength quietly, saying, “We built this headquarters without anyone knowing… we shall oust Museveni without anyone knowing.”
The strategy reflects a shift toward organized, grassroots mobilization and careful navigation of Uganda’s politically challenging environment. Bobi Wine underscored that while Museveni has maintained power for nearly four decades, the people’s resolve and coordinated efforts will bring change effectively and peacefully, highlighting the importance of unity and strategic planning.
