KAMPALA, UGANDA | Popular Ugandan musician King Saha has publicly called on fellow artist Eddy Kenzo to return to the National Unity Platform (NUP), Uganda’s leading opposition party, following Kenzo’s recent scuffle with a Special Forces Command (SFC) officer at President Museveni’s rally in Kawempe.

Speaking during a performance at a popular nightclub in Kampala, King Saha stated that Kenzo would be more appreciated and respected within NUP than in the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
"Kenzo, you are welcome home. Those people hate you. You are our brother, and we are always looking out for you," King Saha said, addressing a cheering crowd. "You should rejoin us in NUP, and we shall welcome you with open arms."
His remarks come after Kenzo was forcefully confronted by an SFC operative while performing at an NRM event, an incident that the singer described as an act of internal sabotage by some party members. The altercation has sparked speculation about divisions within NRM regarding Kenzo’s involvement in their political activities.
Although Kenzo has not directly responded to King Saha’s invitation, he has previously maintained that he is non-partisan and focused on uniting Ugandans through music. However, the recent incident at Museveni’s rally has raised questions about his standing within NRM and whether he will reconsider his political affiliations.
