A mobile money agent identified as Namugaanyi Rebecca was on tuesday found killed in Kapeke village Nama Sub-county, Mukono District by a suspected boyfriend. Police say Rebecca Namugaanyi, 22, hailed from Ngogwe in Buikwe District.
The attacker slit her throat and abandoned the body in her rented room. Neighbours say, Namugaanyi received a male visitor on Monday and spent several hours with him in the mobile money shop.
Locals say the late closed the shop with the visitor still around and inside but where very shocked to realise that the woman was dead the next morning. The killer is suspected to must have run away with a large sum of money. Locals discovered that Namugaanyi was dead when one of them had gone in the morning to make a mobile money transaction who smelt something fishy when the late was not resposnding to his shouts only to use the behind door where he saw the woman floating in a pool of blood.
Police is still making thorough investigation on the matter.
