Mubende, Uganda – In a significant move to enhance education infrastructure, the Mubende District leadership has launched the construction of staff houses and classrooms across various sub-counties. The project, valued at Shs 192.7 million, aims to improve the working conditions for teachers and reduce classroom congestion.
In Kiteenga Sub-County, a two-unit staff house is being built at Kitaama Primary School, while in Kiyuni Sub-County, a two-classroom block is under construction at Kiboyo Primary School. District Chairperson Michael Muhereza Ntambi emphasized the importance of providing a conducive environment for teachers and thanked parents for their efforts in supporting education.
Ntambi warned contractors against delivering substandard work, urging locals to monitor the projects closely.
