Popular Ugandan TCM singer, Joan Namugerwa, known as Jowy Landa, narrowly escaped a major road accident late Thursday night along Kasangati Road. Jowy was traveling in her new Toyota Noah, a vehicle recently gifted to her by her management to facilitate travel for upcountry performances.
Eyewitness accounts described the crash as severe, with the car sustaining heavy damage on the driver’s side, notably leaving the driver’s door “stuck inside.” Passersby and onlookers praised Jowy Landa and her passengers’ survival as a miracle after they were successfully pulled from the wreckage with only minor injuries. The singer later confirmed her safety and the well-being of her team, while investigations into the exact cause of the incident are ongoing.
