Events promoter Nobert Twizire, commonly known as Nobat, has been detained by Kampala police in connection with the brutal assault on Jennifer Nakanguubi, popularly known as Full Figure, a prominent media personality and blogger. The arrest occurred during an event at the Kololo Independence Grounds celebrating President Museveni’s 81st birthday.
Police confirmed that Nobat was taken in for questioning about the attack that happened on August 30th. Though no formal charges have been filed against him yet, police officials believe he possesses critical information regarding the incident. Nobat himself recorded and shared an audio message confirming his arrest and cooperation with authorities. Deputy spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luke Owoyesigire, stated that Nobat would be released on police bond depending on his level of cooperation with the ongoing investigations.
