Western Uganda-based events emcee and comedian MC Kachaina has addressed a widely shared video capturing a tense moment between him and comedy duo Madrat and Chiko during the NRM political rally at Kololo Airstrip. According to Kachaina, the issue arose when Madrat’s microphone malfunctioned mid-performance, and Kachaina was tasked with getting a replacement from the DJs.
Kachaina described how he approached the DJs but was denied another mic until he returned the faulty one, leading to his attempting to signal Madrat, who unexpectedly pushed him back. The push was caught on video and sparked significant social media discussion. While initially hurt, Kachaina chose not to escalate the matter but spoke out due to his fans’ strong reactions.
