Bobi Wine Officially Nominated for Uganda’s 2026 Presidential Elections.

National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, widely known as Bobi Wine, was officially nominated on September 24, 2025, to contest Uganda’s 2026 general elections. This marks his second presidential bid after emerging as the main challenger in 2021.

Bobi Wine reaffirmed his commitment to political change, accountability, and service delivery that impacts all citizens. His nomination drew significant public attention with heightened security at the Electoral Commission headquarters in Lubowa. Following the nomination, the NUP announced plans for a rally to kickstart campaign activities.
